Government advisers warn that climate change could have a domino effect on the U.K.’s infrastructure. The climate change committee published a 2000 page report word they say how climate changes will destroy bridges, electricity gas and IT connections in the nation.
In addition to that, the committee warns how poor farming in the UK may lead to that the most fertile soils will be degraded in several decades.
Climate change will also contribute to heat -related deaths, but among the elderly. This number is expected to triple 7000 deaths a year by 2050.
The climate change committee warns that the United Kingdom is not prepared for their dangers and risks from climate change that can arise from floods, changed coastlines, increased temperatures, water shortages and other damage the eco and food system.
According to one projection by the committee, summer temperatures in London could 48°C and extreme conditions although some say they don’t expect this to happen.
This recently published report about the risks of climate change is the most comprehensive yet. More than 80 authors participated in the study.
